My keyring (also known as keychains) collection was born in early 2006, although I think it has always been there way before then. I just began collecting them in 2006 on purpose and through constant poking at friends who are travelling.
You know how friends give you keychains/keyrings as their default gift after travelling to some fun place? Well, I was cleaning out my closet when I noticed that I had put all the keyrings I've ever received into one big tin can and a small cardboard box. In various shapes, sizes, designs, and colors, and from all sorts of places that I or my friends/family had been to. There were lots of really nice and creative ones, and I thought they'd make a good conversation piece if I put them up on my office cube wall (yes, they did on several occasions). What makes them most special to me is not just because they came from people I care about, but because they have stories to tell.
